A deepening area of low pressure will track from the southwest through the center of the country Wednesday through Friday. This storm system will produce a large swath of heavy rains with localized flooding a possibility. Flood watches will likely be issued by the NWS at some point to address this threat.

Additionally, there will be the potential for strong to severe storms across the southern Plains into the Deep South. Damaging winds will be the primary threat, though some hail and a few tornadoes are possible as well.
